CreatePay, one of the UK’s fastest-growing fintech payment acceptance providers, is delighted to announce the official launch of its services in Ireland.

Marking the company’s first phase of international expansion.

Founded in the UK in summer 2023, CreatePay has delivered unprecedented growth and now supports more than 12,500 businesses with payment solutions. The company employs 150 permanent staff across the UK and is on track to process £2 billion in card payments during 2026.

This expansion represents a major milestone in CreatePay’s mission to empower small and medium-sized businesses with smarter, faster payment and funding solutions. Irish businesses can now benefit from the same innovative technology, service-led approach, and growth-focused support that has driven CreatePay’s success in the UK.

As part of the launch, CreatePay has opened a dedicated office in Dublin, establishing a permanent presence in Ireland. This local base enables the company to build stronger relationships within the Irish market and to support customers face-to-face, fostering long-term partnerships and trust within the business community.

Stephen Wells, Chief Executive Officer of CreatePay, commented:

“Ireland has an incredibly strong SME community, and we are excited to be part of it. By investing in a dedicated Dublin office and a local team, we are ensuring Irish businesses receive the support, speed, and understanding they deserve.”

The Irish launch is supported by an initial newly formed team of nine Ireland-based payment industry experts, recruited specifically to deliver a responsive, high-touch service from day one.

By establishing a local office and team, CreatePay can offer a level of service that goes beyond remote support. Irish customers will benefit from faster response times, local market expertise, dedicated account management, and hands-on assistance tailored to the realities of doing business in Ireland.

Martin Cruse, Chief Sales Officer of CreatePay, added:

“Ireland is a relationship-driven market, and entering with a local presence is key to doing things the right way. Establishing a Dublin office and building an Irish-based team allows us to work closely with customers, partners, and advisers to create solutions aligned with the needs of the Irish market. This launch lays the foundation for long-term growth in the region.”

CreatePay’s expansion into Ireland is a long-term strategic investment—not a trial or soft launch. The company views Ireland as a key growth market and is committed to building lasting partnerships with Irish SMEs, suppliers, and local business communities, while continuing to invest in people, infrastructure, and product innovation.
